The rules of Yaga's refer a friend programme in South Africa: who can take part, how the rewards work, and when Yaga can withhold a reward.
Who can take part
- Any Yaga user in South Africa can share their referral code. You do not need to have bought or sold anything.
- Your friend can use your code if they have never bought anything on Yaga and have never used a referral code before.
- Each account can use one referral code, once. Codes work in South Africa only.
Your friend's reward
- Your friend gets a discount off their first Yaga order. The discount amount and the minimum order value are shown in the app when they enter the code, and in How referrals work.
- The order must reach the minimum order value in item value. Buyer protection fee and delivery do not count towards it. A bundle counts as one order.
- The reward only applies to their first order. If their first order is placed without the code, or is below the minimum, the code can no longer be used. If that order is cancelled, the code works again.
- The code cannot be used in your shop.
- Your friend needs a verified phone number.
- Only one promo code applies per order.
- The code is valid for 30 days from the day your friend enters it.
Your reward
- You get a discount of the same amount once your friend's first order is complete, which means they confirmed the order and the money moved.
- There is no deadline for your friend's order to complete. However long it takes, you still get your reward.
- Your discount applies to a Yaga order that reaches the same minimum order value, and is valid for 60 days.
- You can earn up to 10 rewards in a rolling year. You can keep sharing your code after that, and your friends still get theirs.
About the rewards
- Rewards are promo codes. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged.
- The amount you get is the amount that applied on the day your friend entered your code. If Yaga changes the amounts later, a reward you already have keeps its original value.
- Amounts and minimum order values can change at any time. The current ones are always shown in the app.
When Yaga can withhold a reward
- Yaga can withhold or cancel a reward where accounts look duplicated, connected or fraudulent. This includes accounts sharing the same account details with each other or with the shop being bought from.
- Accounts suspended for breaking Yaga's rules do not earn rewards.
- Your friend's purchase is never blocked by these checks. Only the reward is affected.
Programme availability
- The programme runs in South Africa only, and has a monthly budget.
- When the budget for the month is reached, no new codes can be entered until it resets. Anyone who already entered a code keeps their reward, and inviters still get paid for those friends.
- Yaga can pause, change or end the programme at any time.
These terms supplement the Terms and Conditions of the User Agreement of Shop Yaga (Pty) Ltd. Both sets of terms apply together and should be read as one. In the event of any inconsistency, these Referral Programme Terms prevail in relation to the referral programme specifically.
