As a Buyer, you can make a price offer to a Seller on an item you're interested in, and the Seller can accept, decline, or counter it. Here's how it works.
How to make an offer
- Tap the Make an offer button underneath the Buy now button
- Enter the price you'd like to purchase the item for and tap Submit
PS! The price can't be lower than 70% of the original price.
- The Seller receives the offer in their Messages, while you see the offer as pending in yours
- The Seller can Accept, Decline, or make a Counter offer
If the offer is accepted
Once the offer is accepted, a Buy button appears in the chat and you can proceed with the normal checkout process. The price is automatically updated to the accepted price.
- The updated price is only visible to the Buyer who made the offer
- Other users can still buy the item for the original price during this time, as offers do not reserve the item
PS! An accepted offer and a discount code can both apply. If the Seller has an active discount code, you can still enter it at checkout, and it comes off the agreed offer price.
If the offer is declined
You'll receive a message that your offer has been declined, and the offer status will change from Pending to Declined.
If a counter offer is made
You'll see the new offered price in the chat messages. As a Buyer, you can now Accept, Decline, or Counter it. Depending on which option you choose, the same process follows as described above.
Good to know
- Accepted offers remain valid until the item is sold or the Seller cancels the accepted offer
- If a listing has a quantity of more than 1 item, the offer is valid for a single purchase
- The offer price does not include the shipping fee or the Buyer Protection fee
