Good photos help your items get noticed, build Buyer trust, and reduce the chance of disputes — here's what to include in your listings.
General photo tips
- Your first photo should show the entire item in one frame, not a collage.
- Use your own photos — no stock images, AI generated images, photos from the internet, or photos taken by other Sellers. Listings using photos from other sources may be hidden or removed.
- Natural daylight is best — avoid lamplight, harsh flash, or heavily filtered photos.
- Take at least 3–4 photos showing multiple angles (front, back, and any details that matter).
- Show any defects clearly — Buyers may return items if undisclosed flaws are only visible after delivery. If a defect can't be shown, make sure to describe it clearly.
- Make any text on labels readable.
For branded or designer items
Upload close-up photos that help confirm authenticity:
- The brand label, logo, or embroidery.
- The size and care label on the inside.
- Stitching, zippers, hardware, or other distinguishing details.
- Serial numbers or authenticity stamps (for luxury items).
- Proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or original box), if available.
For electronics
- Show the device powered on, displaying the home screen or settings.
- Photograph the IMEI / serial number (clearly readable).
- Show all included accessories (or the lack of them).
- Show any flaws (scratches on screen, ports, battery wear indicator).
Keep privacy in mind
- Avoid showing your face or identifiable features.
- Don't include personal information in the photo background (addresses, names, ID documents).
