We strive to ensure that Yaga is a safe and enjoyable platform for everyone.
With the support of the Yaga community, we take an active role in removing items and behaviors that are offensive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate for the platform.
❌ Prohibited items
- Counterfeit goods, replicas, and unauthorized copies (including factory rejects and parallel imports);
- Medicines, food supplements, medical devices, and healthcare products, such as inhalers, blood pressure monitors, or other items intended for diagnosis or treatment;
- Motorized vehicles;
- Samples, testers, or promotional items not intended for resale (e.g. rebottled perfumes);
Testers: demonstration bottles or units provided by stores or brands for customers to try in-store before buying. Often have "TESTER" marking or "Not for sale"
Samples: small, single-use packets or vials of a product, often given for free with a purchase or to promote a new product.
Promotional items (Gift With Purchase): branded towels, bags, mirrors or sample sets given when buying from a specific brand. These are not meant for resale.
- Food and beverages, including alcohol;
- Tobacco and nicotine products, including related accessories;
- Drugs and drug paraphernalia;
- Firearms, weapons (including realistic toy guns such as airsoft guns), military items, pepper sprays, tasers, and similar items intended for self-defence or resembling weapons;
- Dangerous or sharp knives, including sharp kitchen knives, throwing knives, concealed or disguised blades, and survival weapons. Note: Table knives used as cutlery and with with a dull blade are allowed. Shaving blades are allowed only if they are in their original, unopened packaging;
- Adult products and explicit content;
- Vouchers, gift cards, digital products, e-books, and other non-physical goods;
- Reproductions of any currency and items related to currency reproduction;
- Animals, animal food, and animal medicine;
- Locked devices, such as phones, smartwatches, and other electronics that cannot be freely used or reset by the Buyer;
- Stolen items;
- Open cosmetics that allow direct contact with the product, such as jars, pots, palettes, or items with wand applicators (lip gloss, mascara). Note: Products in tubes, pump or spray bottles where the contents are not directly touched, such as pump lotions, squeeze tube creams, spray mists, are allowed as long as they have been properly stored and are not expired;
- Expired products or items that have not been stored properly, as they may pose safety or quality risks;
- Used underwear bottoms. For hygiene reasons, only new underwear bottoms can be listed. Note: used bras and swimsuits are allowed as long as they are properly washed and the description clearly states that the item has been worn;
- Offensive or inappropriate products;
- Items that promote violence, hate speech, criminal or extremist activity, self-harm, sexual exploitation or any other harmful conduct;
- Items that are (otherwise) prohibited by law or regulations.
🚫 Prohibited actions and behaviors
Drop-shipping (listing items that you do not physically own at the time of sale)
Encouraging off-platform transactions (e.g. suggesting payment via bank transfer, Cash Send, or other external methods)
Offering security deposits, installment payments or similar arrangements (all sales must be completed through Yaga in one secure transaction)
Using false or misleading information in listings (e.g. deceptive descriptions, hashtags, or branding)
In order to protect other users, Yaga reserves the right to remove unfit items even if they do not fall into the category displayed above.
How can you make Yaga better for everyone? Here’s how to report an unfit item:
- Tapping the '...' in the top right corner on the listing
- Select Report
- Add a reason for reporting the item (e.g. fake or counterfeit items, Possible fraud, etc.)
- Send
When an item/user is reported, the Support Team is notified and an internal process is started for resolving the issue. Please note that it might take some time for the issue to be solved as in most cases we start by contacting the Seller for further information and/or request them to fix the issue.
