Yaga is a platform where you can shop safely when the correct procedure is followed but it is always good to be extra cautious when buying electronic items. Here are some red flags to look out for when looking to buy electronics from Yaga:
- Seller asks for your WhatsApp details.
- Seller tries to direct the order outside the safety of Yaga.
- Seller shares their banking details with you.
- Seller tries to pressure you into clicking the "Item received" button, but you haven't received the item yet.
- Seller has a bunch of different electronic items up in their store.
- Items have been tagged with the wrong brand (e.g. Forever New).
If one of these red flags occur then we recommend you to contact Yaga support team by submitting a request below.
Before you click "Item received"
For electronics, we strongly recommend doing the following before you complete the order in Yaga:
Power the device on and test all functions you care about (e.g camera, charging, battery, speakers, screen, ports, buttons).
Confirm the device is not locked to any carrier or to a previous owner's account (e.g. iCloud, Google account).
Important: Once you click "Item received", the funds are released to the Seller and the order is finalised. After this point, our return policy no longer applies — even if the device develops a problem afterwards. If anything is off, do not click "Item received" — you have 48h starting from the collection time to contact the Seller via Yaga chat and reach out to Yaga Support if needed. If the item differs from what was advertised or has hidden flaws then you have the right to return it. In that case we suggest you to take images and videos from the flaws and share your findings with the Seller via Yaga messages or Yaga support by submitting a request below
