As a Seller, you can send a price offer to a Buyer who has liked your item, and they can accept, decline, or counter it. Buyers who get personal offers are more likely to purchase. Here's how it works.
How to make an offer
- Tap the Make an offer button under the Notifications tab, where you received the notification "@xxx likes your item"
- Enter the price you'd like to offer to the Buyer and tap Send offer
- The offer is initiated: the Buyer receives the offer in their Messages, while you see the offer as pending in yours
- The Buyer can Accept, Decline, or make a Counter offer
If the offer is accepted
Once the offer is accepted, a Buy button appears for the Buyer to proceed with the normal checkout process. The price is automatically updated to the discounted price.
- The updated price is only visible to the Buyer who received the offer
- Other users can still buy the item for the original price during this time, as offers do not reserve the item
If the offer is declined
You'll receive a message that your offer has been declined, and the offer status will change from Pending to Declined.
If a counter offer is made
You'll see the new offered price in the chat messages. As a Seller, you can now Accept, Decline, or Counter it. Depending on which option you choose, the same process follows as described above.
Good to know
- Accepted offers remain valid until the item is sold or the Seller cancels the accepted offer
- If a listing has a quantity of more than 1 item, the offer is valid for a single purchase
- The offer price does not include the shipping fee or the Buyer Protection fee
